2020 proved to be an unprecedented year for the markets for so many reasons, the principal one being the pandemic that raged all year, a tragic global event which continues to undermine events.
So, what lies in store for 2021?
It was yet another stellar year for global stock markets, with volatility induced by the pandemic once again raising its head this year. Pre-pandemic equity markets posted all-time highs in February, which was quickly followed by a 2-month collapse to a nadir in March and April but rallied once more to end the year at new all-time highs led once again by the US technology stocks.
